Beginning therapy can feel uncertain, especially when you’ve been carrying the weight of stress, trauma, or years of feeling unseen. At Art of Growth Counseling Services, you don’t have to have it all figured out, you just have to show up as you are.
Healing begins with safety: in your body, in the room, and in the therapeutic relationship. Together, we create space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what’s happening inside you. There’s no need to rush. We move at the pace your nervous system can handle, guided by authenticity, creativity, and compassion.
This is a space where your story is honored and your boundaries are respected. Where warmth and steadiness replace pressure and expectation. You don’t have to hold it all together here. You can settle, be seen, and begin the work.
The First Connection
Before scheduling your first session, we begin with a brief consultation call. A simple, pressure-free conversation to help you determine if Art of Growth is the right fit for your needs.
This call is a chance for you to ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and get a sense of how we work.
During this call, we:
• Discuss what’s bringing you to therapy
• Explain how our approach and process work
• Review scheduling, fees, and insurance options
• Match you with the therapist who best fits your goals
• Outline the next steps for starting therapy
There’s no commitment required, just an opportunity to connect, clarify, and see what feels right.
Initial Evaluation
The first session is about connection, clarity, and grounding.
We’ll explore your history, your goals, and what brings you to therapy without rushing or overwhelming you.
In this session, we:
• Learn about your background
• Understand your symptoms and patterns
• Get a sense of your nervous system
• Discuss what you hope for in therapy
• Begin shaping a personalized plan
It’s completely normal to feel nervous. There is no wrong way to show up here.
Each 60 minute session is tailored to your needs, pace, and values.
We don’t offer surface-level advice or generic worksheets, we do real depth work.
You can expect:
